Yesterday afternoon the sky unexpectedly opened up and rain just poured down for at least an hour. Our windows were open, I was working on a re-organization project in the baking corner of our kitchen. The sounds of the rain pouring through the trees was such a gorgeous sound. The sunlight illuminating the raindrops on the Eucalyptus tree leaves that hang beautifully off our front deck, was mesmerizing. It was like the tree was instantly sprinkled with glitter.
My husband and I have wondered. Is first grade the year L is going to stop believing in Santa Claus?

Countless times in my life I resist the moment in front of me. Why? I am not sure.
Well, that isn’t totally the truth, I know why, I am afraid and it’s easier to resist than to soften to the unknown.
Motherhood offers so many countless moments where you don’t know the answer, can’t plan for the outcome, can’t train more to get stronger or practice more to get the right answer. I am so challenged by this, it is so uncomfortable for me.
